ADAS/DMS Software Architect

Key Responsibilities:

• Play a central role in our automotive engineering projects, particularly those centred around driver monitoring, autonomous driving, and driver assistance.
• Remain updated on cutting-edge industry standards, breakthrough DMS/ADAS features, and newly launched products.
• Dive deep into new technologies, critically analysing them for potential integration into our DMS/ADAS systems. Optimised implementation of CV/DL algorithms on basic software.
• Craft high-quality code in line with best practices for both basic and application-layer software.
• Innovatively design system entities tailor-made for DMS/ADAS applications.
• Lead,inspire, and mentor our DMS/ADAS team throughout our ambitious project timelines.
• Design and fine-tune algorithms vital to our ongoing projects.
• Rigorously test and refine developed algorithms, ensuring they meet our exacting standards.
• Provide vital support during the design and testing phases of our projects.
• Participate actively in team meetings, offering insights into project progress.
• Deliver regular, comprehensive reports detailing completed tasks and forthcoming actions.
• Development of driver and driving assistance systems from ASIL B to ASIL D.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• B.Sc. degree in Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• A Master's or PhD will be considered favourably.
• Over 5+ years of substantial experience in development.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming.
• Solid expertise in embedded programming, with emphasis on embedded CV/DL applications and board bring-up/BSP development.
• Experience in deploying different DL models to automotive embedded systems.
• Familiarity with automotive application and coding standards, including Misra C and Autosar (both Adaptive and/or Classic), would be a significant advantage.
• Proven experience in designing, testing, and refining algorithms for DMS/ADAS systems.
• Comprehensive understanding of current standards in autonomous vehicles and DMS/ADAS technologies.
• Preferably to have developed software in ASIL B and above functional safety requirements.
• Experience in software development within ASPICE methodology.
• To be familiar with requirements management, systems engineering and related processes, preferably using tools such as Polarion and/or Doors.
• Familiarity with basic development environments and code management/revision systems as well as basic CI/CD and DevOps concepts.
• Familiarity with business development and task management software such as GitHub/Gerrit, Jira, Confluence and SAP in an agile development environment is positive, although not mandatory.
• An insightful grasp of the software development lifecycle, ideally within the automotive sector.
• Intrinsic motivation and a passion for introducing and nurturing innovative ideas collaboratively.
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Outstanding command over English, both written and spoken.
